		<description>I was also at Katie&#039;s presentation at Northeastern.  I&#039;m also not of the &#039;gamer generation&#039;.  As someone who works with educational simulation/games, though, I do appreciate her notions about games offering learning opportunities that map closely to today&#039;s digital literacies.  I appreciate Peter&#039;s honesty about not having personally experienced a game that gave him significant learning above and beyond what might be achieved via other means.  But I do think that even when designing non-game educational experiences like online courses, simulations, etc, we can try and borrow frameworks common to games that can enhance a student&#039;s understanding.  So the &quot;how&quot; games teach/scaffold/provide feedback might be as important or more important than the &quot;what&quot; they teach.</description>
